Filter Press Seitz –Orion

This filter (Seitz –Orion) allows to filter yeasts or mycelium suspensions and to clarify solutions with particles. It is fitted with a succession of stainless steel frames and trays representing each 0.16 m² (0.4x0.4m²).

The minimum filtration area is 0.48m2 corresponding to a dead volume of 15L and a maximum filtration area of 1.6m2. Different filtration plates of variable porosity (5 to 100µm) are available depending on the solution to treat. The maximum feeding pressure is 1 bar. The maximum cake capacity of the filter unit is 15 kg.
